Did you just move into your dream home? Why not compliment it with one (or multiple) luxury cars? Luxury cars are not just defined by their indulging ride, extensive levels of technology and refinement, but the level of prestige they bring. Here are my top 5 new luxury cars picks that will go perfectly with your new home.
2021 Audi RS7
In my opinion, Audi has always been the sleeper, compared to BMW’s M, and Mercedes’ AMG divisions when it comes to high-performance versions of its luxury cars and SUVs. I’ve driven an RS7 for the past few years, and have absolutely loved the car. Put some snow tires on it, and it will climb trees in the winter! The all-new 2021 Audi RS7 is a stunner. Audi has given the car a lower and wider shape, with larger lower front air intakes to reflect the more aggressive nature of the new car. Powered by a 4.0 liter V-8 paired to a 48-volt hybrid system, the new RS7 produces 591 horsepower. The all-new RS7 can be your new family rocket. You won’t want to miss driving one of Audi’s luxury cars. Priced at about $122,000.
2021 Aston Martin DBX
I’ve really loved my launch-year Aston Martin DB 11, with its massive 600 HP V12 (which has been replaced by a V8 turbo. Even at more than 4,000 lbs, the front engine, rear-wheel drive DB 11 is pretty nimble on the track. The new generation Astons are great to drive, low maintenance, and turn heads at every stoplight. Aston Martin says its first-ever SUV, the DBX, is “founded on the principles of beauty, luxury, and driving dynamics.” DBX celebrates the Aston Martin design language in an all new form with this luxury SUV. With a unique body architecture just for DBX, the design and proportions reflect the unmistakeable style of Aston Martin’s luxury cars.
It is built on a brand new architecture using aluminum construction, and this is an SUV that drives like a sports car. It is powered by the same 4.0-liter V8 as the DB11 and Vantage, and makes 542 horsepower in the DBX through all four wheels. Despite being weighed down by a full-grain leather interior, alcantara, and other customizable aspects of the luxury interior, the DBX can still rocket to 60 miles per hour in just 4.3 seconds. I think this is the best looking SUV on the market. Priced at just under $200,000.
2020 Porsche Taycan
As Joel Goodson said not long before he put his dad’s 928 into Lake Michigan, “Porsche – there is no substitute.” The 2020 Porsche Taycan is Porsche’s first-ever electric vehicle, and after taking this car for a test drive, I think Joel is right. The “Turbo S” is half car and half space ship. It is incredibly fast and has amazing grip. The acceleration is neck snapping and I think this is a great looking car. The interior blows away Tesla’s Model S.
Porsche says that the Taycan is meant to be the first performance EV, and that is likely the case. One neat feature is the ability to pipe “engine noise” into the cabin and outside the car. While the Taycan hasn’t been able to beat Tesla’s range or acceleration numbers, the Taycan is the superior track machine, even at more than 5,000 lbs. The battery location provides a very low center of gravity. The 2020 Porsche Taycan will set you back between $120,000 and $220,000 depending on which variation and features you choose.
2021 Porsche 911 Turbo (992)
New for 2020, Porsche’s new generation of 992 911 raised the bar for the German stalwart. The new 992 Turbo is sure to impress. Porsche claims the new 911 turbo will hit 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. I love the updated style and the aggressive stance, and can’t wait to see this car in the fall of 2020. While pricing won’t be announced for this 911 until later this year, you can expect it to cost somewhere north of $165,000. Count me in for a new Targa!
2021 Tesla Cybertruck
When I told some friends I put a deposit down on the Cybertruck, they looked at me like I had lost my mind. I think Elon Musk is a mad genius, and this is just the latest, most outrageous example. Though the Cybertruck’s performance is impressive, even more impressive is its durability. With an exterior shell made from a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, an Ultra-Hard Cold Rolled stainless-steel body, and Tesla armor glass, the Cybertruck is sure to put up with anything you throw at it. It can carry up to 3500 pounds in the bed, tow over 14,000 pounds, and seat six comfortably. This is the ultimate utility vehicle. The Cybertruck comes with three motor options, and starts at just $39,900 for the rear wheel drive model. I chose the $69,900 tri-motor all-wheel drive model. It goes from 0-60 in under 2 seconds!
