Vintner Ball

Vintner Ball

During the fall of 2005, a group of friends and wine enthusiasts from the Twin Cities were inspired to develop a unique event. They sought to host a tasting of the best wines from around the world and donate the funds raised to a local cause. What followed was the enlistment of wine distributors, connoisseurs, local businesses and, finally, a stunning event in the heart of winter. Thus began the Vintner Ball.

During the past thirteen years, approximately $2,000,000 has been raised at the Vintner Ball on behalf of Second Harvest Heartland. Through Second Harvest Heartland’s ability to leverage donations, these funds have helped provide enough food for nearly six million meals for families in need and hungry people in the local community. In very unique fashion for a charity event, 100% of funds raised went directly to Second Harvest Heartland. All associated costs of the event are underwritten by the hosts, and all wine, food, auction items, marketing and facility use are donations, ensuring every dollar collected goes to benefit families in need.

Help solve hunger by donating to the cause. Even a simple gift of $50 can provide 150 meals for hungry families, children and seniors in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. You can make a one-time gift or become a Monthly Giver. Your ongoing support will have a lasting impact. To donate, click here. Thank you for your generosity.
